John C. Rudolf

Portfolio Manager
John is Chairman and Portfolio Manager of Summit Capital Management and Summit Special Situations Fund, and Co-Portfolio Manager of Summit World Partners Fund. He advises on all aspects of the firm's broader platform as head of the investment and executive committees.
John began his investment career in New York City in 1974, becoming a partner at Oppenheimer and Company, moving to Seattle in 1988 as partner in charge of the firm's Pacific Northwest operations. He founded Summit Capital as an independent investment advisory firm in 1996 to continue his investment management activities built and conducted over the prior two decades, including the founding of Summit Capital Partners in 1985.
John received his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame and attended the Columbia University Graduate School under the Herbert Lehman Doctoral Fellowship. Selected community activities have included: board member of the United Way of King County, board member of the University of Notre Dame Art Museum, and trustee of the Pacific Northwest Ballet, chairman of the College Baseball Classic Foundation, board member of Andean Health and Development, and advisor to the Investment Management Program at the University of Notre Dame Business School.
Robert J. Martin

Chief Investment Officer
Rob is a Principal of the firm and Portfolio Manager of Summit Capital Strategies, Echelon Partners LP and Co-Portfolio Manager of Summit World Partners Fund LP. He serves as a member of both the investment and executive committees of Summit Capital Group.
Upon moving to Seattle in 2002, Rob co-founded Martin Investment Group (MIG), a predecessor company which merged with Summit Capital in 2006. Prior to forming MIG, Rob was a Managing Director at Friedman, Billings, Ramsey Group (FBR), an institutional brokerage firm and investment bank located in Arlington, VA.
Rob began his career in 1995 within the Investment Banking Group at FBR, rising to the position of Managing Director and Senior Analyst within the Equity Research Group.
Rob holds an M.B.A. in Finance and Investments from George Washington University, received in 1995, and a B.A. from Temple University,
received in 1993.
Matthew C. Rudolf
Principal and Portfolio Manager
Chief Operating Officer
Matt joined Summit Capital in 1997 and is a Principal and Chief Operating Officer, overseeing the firm's operational, portfolio management and business affairs. He also serves as a member of both the investment and executive committees of Summit Capital Group.
Matt was previously a vice president with U.S. Bank of Washington and managed the Large Corporate Lending Group for West One Bank of Washington before its merger with U.S. Bank. Prior to his banking career, he spent five years as a Petroleum Engineer in Texas for Occidental Petroleum Corporation.
He received an M.B.A. from Seattle University in 1988 and a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Washington in 1979.
David K. Martin

Chief Relationship Manager
Dave is a Principal and Chief Relationship Manager of the firm, responsible for client relations and marketing, acting as a central point of contact in building social capital through Summit's network of friends and clients. He also serves as a member of the executive committee of Summit Capital Group. Dave co-founded Martin Investment Group (MIG) 2002, a predecessor company which merged with Summit Capital in 2006. Prior to forming MIG, Dave spent the early part of his career within the private client services at Wachovia, Salomon Smith Barney and Paine Webber.
Dave holds a B.B.A. in Accounting from Gonzaga University, received in 1994.
Lisa M. Burke
Chief Compliance Officer
Lisa was formerly with MIG and now serves as Chief Compliance Officer for Summit Capital. Lisa joined MIG in 2003, and prior to that was with UBS for over 10 years. In addition to compliance Lisa assists with portfolio management and client reporting. She received her B.A. in Economics from Gonzaga University in 2001.
Paul W. Parietti

Assistant Portfolio Manager
Paul joined Summit Capital in June 2001. He assists with daily trading, portfolio management and accounting operations for both Summit Capital Partners and for our individually managed accounts. Paul’s previous accounting experience was with Holland America Line in Seattle, WA. Paul received his B.A. in Accounting from Seattle University in 1983.
Eric J. Stutzman
Assistant Portfolio Manager
Eric joined Summit Capital in February 2007. He assists with daily trading and portfolio management for both Summit Capital and for our individually managed accounts. Prior to joining Summit, Eric was with Guy Carpenter for four years, where he analyzed catastrophic risk for primary insurance companies. Eric received his B.S. in Business and Computer Science from the University of Puget Sound in 2002.
Matthew W. Santangelo
Business Development Manager
Matt is a Relationship Manager at Summit Capital, focusing on client contact and development. Prior to joining Summit Capital, Matt spent seven years playing professional basketball throughout Europe. He holds a BBA in Human Resources from Gonzaga University and received his degree in 2000. Matt joined Summit in February 2007.
Andy J. Bloom
Associate
Andy joined Summit Capital in June 2008. His primary role includes support of the trading and portfolio management team in daily operations. Additional duties include portfolio management support on Summit Capital mananged accounts. Andy was with Weyerhaeuser for three years, where he worked in the Internal Audit Department. Andy received his B.A. in Accounting from Seattle University in 2005.
Andy Frey
Analyst
Andy joined Summit Capital in May 2008. He assists with the research and trading for the firm's Special Situtations Fund. Prior to joining Summit, Andy was a research intern with DePrince, Race, & Zollo, Inc., where he worked on the firm's small-cap and micro-cap portfolios. Andy received his B.A. in Economics from Willamette University in 2005, and his MBA with a concentration in finance and investments from the University of Notre Dame in 2008. Andy is also a candidate for Level II of the CFA designation.
Debbie Sandeno
Administrative Assistant
Debbie, formerly with MIG, is the Administrative Assistant at Summit Capital’s Spokane office. She joined MIG in April 2005 and prior to that was with UBS for 10 years.
Vicki Salazar
Executive Assistant
Vicki is Executive Assistant to John Rudolf at Summit Capital’s Seattle office. Vicki joined Summit Capital in June 1998. Her previous administrative experience was with US Bank of Washington and West One Bank of Washington.
