Robert J. Martin  Partner, Portfolio Manager
Rob is Partner of Summit Capital Group LLC and Managing Member of Echelon Capital LLC, the general partner of Echelon Partners, LP.  His role includes Portfolio Manager for Echelon Partners, LP.  Rob co-founded Martin Investment Group (MIG) in 2002, a predecessor company which merged with Summit Capital in 2006.  Prior to forming MIG, Rob was a Managing Director at Friedman, Billings, Ramsey Group (FBR), an institutional brokerage firm and investment bank located in Arlington, VA.  His most recent position until departure in March 2002 was Managing Director, Senior Analyst within the Equity Research Group at FBR.  He began his career at FBR in May 1995 as an associate within the Investment Banking group.  Rob received his Masters of Business Administration from George Washington University in 1995 and his Bachelor of Arts from Temple University in 1993.

Matthew C. Rudolf  Partner, Portfolio Manager
Matt joined Summit Capital in 1997 and is Partner of Summit Capital Group LLC.  His role includes Portfolio Manager for the individually managed accounts.  Matt was previously a vice president with U.S. Bank of Washington and managed the Large Corporate Lending Group for West One Bank of Washington before its merger with U.S. Bank. Prior to his banking career, he spent five years as a Petroleum Engineer in Texas for Occidental Petroleum Corporation.  He received an M.B.A. from Seattle University in 1988 and a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Washington in 1979.

David K. Martin  Partner, Business Development

David is Partner of Summit Capital Group LLC responsible for client relations and marketing, acting as a central point of contact in building social capital throughout Summit's network of friends and clients.  Dave co-founded Martin Investment Group (MIG) in 2002, a predecessor company which merged with Summit Capital in 2006.  Prior to forming MIG, Dave spent the early part of his career within the private client services at Wachovia, Salomon Smith Barney, and Paine Webber (UBS).  Dave is a board member for the Gleason Initiative Foundation, an organization that helps provide technology, equipment and services to individuals with muscular diseases and raises public awareness toward ALS.  He received his B.A. in Accounting from Gonzaga University in 1994.

 Lisa M. Burke  Chief Compliance Officer
Lisa is Chief Compliance Officer and Operations Manager for Summit Capital Group, LLC.  She oversees all compliance and operational matters for both our individually managed accounts as well as our private limited partnership. She has over 20 years of experience in operations, most recently with MIG Capital Management LLC since 2003 through their merger with Summit and with UBS for over 10 years prior to that. She received her B.A. in Economics from Gonzaga University in 2001.

Andy J. Bloom   Associate
Andy is an Associate in Trading and Portfolio Management. His primary role includes assisting with trading, order input/allocation, administration, equity research, and risk management of the individually managed accounts.   Joining Summit Capital in June 2008, he previously was with Weyerhauser for three years where he worked in the Internal Audit Department. Andy received his B.A. in Accounting from Seattle University in 2005.

Andy D. Frey   Associate
Andy is an Associate in Trading and Portfolio Management, joining Summit in May 2008.  His primary role includes assisting
with trading, order input/allocation, administration, equity research, and risk management of the individually managed accounts.  Prior to joining Summit, Andy was a research intern with DePrince, Race, & Zollo, Inc. where he worked on the Firm's small-cap and micro-cap portfolios. Andy received his B.A. in Economics from Willamette University in 2005 and his M.B.A. with a concentration in Finance and Investments from the University of Notre Dame in 2008. Andy is also a board member of the Seattle Security Traders Association.

 

Ben T. Freeburg   Associate

Ben joined Summit Capital in June 2010. Currently, Ben assists the portfolio management team of Echelon Partners, LP with data analytics and special projects. Prior to Summit Capital, Ben spent five years at BlackRock, Inc. (formerly Quellos Capital Management). While at BlackRock, Ben managed the foreign currency hedging and portable alpha swap programs associated with BlackRock's hedge fund of funds. Ben received his B.B.A. in Finance from Gonzaga University in 2001 and his M.B.A. from the University of Notre Dame graduating magna cum laude in 2010.

 

Andrew Pohl Associate

Andrew joined Summit Capital in May 2011 as an Associate Analyst. His primary duties include assisting the trading and portfolio management team with trading, order input/allocation, administration, equity research, and risk management of the individually managed accounts. Prior to joining Summit Capital, Andrew was a Fund Accountant at J.P. Morgan in New York where he processed daily cash flows and helped prepare financial statements for Private Equity Funds. Andrew graduated magna cum laude from Linfield College with a B.A. in Finance and Music, and has completed level III of the CFA program.


Ashleigh Thompson  Associate

Ashleigh is an Associate in Operations, assisting in client service and office operations as well as administrative assistant to Matt Rudolf.  She received a B.B.A. in Marketing from Gonzaga University in 2011.  Prior to joining Summit Capital in June of 2011, Ashleigh was an intern in the Spokane office while attending Gonzaga University.

 

Douglas A. Webb   Associate

Doug is an Associate in Operations.  His primary role is client account maintenance.  Prior to Summit, he completed consulting projects for various funds in Seattle.  Previously, he was the trader at Tower Asset Management in Beverly Hills, CA, where his responsibilities included trade executions and account management for the individually managed accounts.  Doug received his B.A. in Economics from Gonzaga University and his M.A. in International Economics & Trade from London Metropolitan University.
